How long do spices stay fresh inside a sealed spice refill?
When stored in a cool, dry place, a sealed spice refill will retain its flavour and aroma for 12–24 months. Once opened, transfer the contents to an airtight spice jar for best freshness. Our tins and jars are airtight for this reason our individual spice jars are also black to prevent UV from impacting the spices in the jar.
What is the best way to store a spice refill before I am ready to use it?
Store unopened spice refill pouches in a cool, dry cupboard away from heat, moisture and direct sunlight until you're ready to refill your spice jars.
How do I properly refill spice jars without making a mess?
Make sure your jar is clean and completely dry before refilling. Pour the contents of your spice refill pouch slowly into the jar, using a funnel if needed, then seal tightly.
