
Lord & Lion Marinated Steak
The best steak deserves the very best spices to make a lasting impact on your friends and family – an absolute winner every single time!
Serves: 1 as a main dish.
Prep. Time: 30 minutes – 2 hours (to marinate).
Cook Time: 8 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 piece of steak (300g)
- 1 teaspoon Lord & Lion cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Lord & Lion Ceylon Cinnamon powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Lord & Lion chilli powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Lord & Lion paprika powder
- Salt to taste
- 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice
Method:
- Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, combine the Lord & Lion spices, salt, olive oil and lemon juice.
- Marinate the Steak: Rub the spice mixture all over the steak, ensuring it's well coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for more flavour.
- Cook the Steak: Preheat a grill, skillet, or frying pan over medium-high heat. Add a little oil if using a skillet. Cook the steak for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust based on your preferred doneness.
- Rest and Serve: Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing.Serve with your favourite side dishes!
Tips:
- Feel free to add some chilli flakes during marination if you like extra heat.
- If you want a more pronounced smoky flavour, you can finish the steak on a grill or add a little more of the Lord & Lion Paprika.
