A limited release offered by Pepper Tree is the 2019 Wrattonbully Fiano, Head Winemaker Gwyn Olsen’s take on this new alternative varietal. Fermented in 50% old oak, this wine is lush and rich, with layers of hazelnut and spice overtones on the palate.
The 2019 Wrattonbully Fiano is going to be at it’s best paired with fattier fish dishes and light lemon or lemon aspen to cut through the richness, with the texture to stand up to a minimal amount of spice such as saffron, lemongrass, or turmeric as well as anything with a touch of sweetness.
